WHO IS YOUR MESSIAH?

Christian brothers and sisters, do you remember who we are... really?

We are the body of Jesus Christ. And slowly, behind the scenes, sides are being taken between good and evil.  Which side are you really on?  There is so much "compromise" and "political correctness" going on in the world today.  Oddly, every time you are admonished to be "PC" or tolerant, it is about something that the Lord has clearly declared an abomination in his Word.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.  Currently there is a huge movement toward attaining world peace. The average person says, "So? What's wrong with world peace? How can you say that's not a good thing?" No more war, where young men and women die by the thousands over politics, ideology and religion, should be something every person wants...
On www.WorldPeace.org is the following quote:
"May Peace Prevail On Earth is an all inclusive message and prayer. It is a meeting place of the heart bringing together people of all faiths, backgrounds and culture to embrace the Oneness of our planetary family."
Wow can you imagine how wonderful that would be...  But what did Jesus say?
"Think not that I come to send peace on earth, I come not to send peace but a sword." (Matthew 10:34)
Now that was a peculiar thing for him to say.  Why did he not come to bring peace on earth? Isn't Jesus all about love, peace and happiness? What else did he say?
"Peace I leave unto you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not our heart be trouble, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

So he says not as the world giveth... in other words, any kind of peace that is associated with the world, you can rest assure it has nothing to do with Jesus.  Why?  Because the world is governed by men, and we know that because of original sin, the nature of man is essentially evil.  If the enire world could ever agree on anything long enough to actually create world peace, how long do you think it would take for an evil, sociopathic leader to arise and turn the entire proposal into pure evil.  There can never be world peace, not the kind of world peace created by human beings.  How long was Adam left in charge of earth before he disobeyed God and sinned along with Eve plunging mankind into the promise of eternal death.

Jesus warned that in the end days, people would be talking about peace:
"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman and child; and they shall not escape."

But he warns for us not to be fooled, because it is a sign that destruction is right around the corner.  We have become dangerously complacent, going right along with the world singing loudly:

When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, let's realize
That one change can only come
When we stand together as one

There comes a time when we heed a certain call

When the world must come together as one

There are people dying

Oh, and it's time to lend a hand to life

The greatest gift of all

We can't go on pretending day by day

That someone, somehow will soon make a change

We're all a part of God's great big family

And the truth

You know love is all we need

(Love, not the Lord)

( CHORUS )
We are the world, we are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving

There's a choice we're making we're saving our own lives

(For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9)

It's true we'll make a better day just you and me

Well, send'em you your heart so they know that someone cares

And their lives will be stronger and free

As God has shown us by turning stone to bread

(This one is really dangerous: When Jesus was tempted after fasting 40 days and 40 nights, one of the things satan said to him was: "And when the tempter came to him,he said, If thou be the Son of God, commmand that these stones be made to bread.  But he (Jesus) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word the proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4-5)  By these lyrics, "God has shown us by turning stones to bread," Satan, the father of lies, is subtly implying that Jesus actually gave into the temptation presented to him when the devil came to him in the wilderness.  It implies that our Lord and Savior is weak and also that the Bible is a lie.

And so we all must lend a helping hand

We are the world, we are the children

("Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.  He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44)

We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving

(We don't need God to make a brighter day.)

There's a choice we're making we're saving our own lives

(We therefore do not need a Savior)

It's true we'll make a better day just you and me

(We can do this by ourselves, we definitely don't need God.)

When you're down and out there seems no hope at all

But if you just believe there's no way we can fall

(You cannot "just believe" vacantly... and avoid "the fall."   "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"Wherefore let he that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."  1 Corinthians 10:12)"

Well, well, well, let's realize that a change can only come

When we stand together as one

If you were on trial right now for being a Christian, would they have to dismiss the case for a lack of evidence? One of the most horrble thing going on right now is that in a lot of cases, you cannot tell the difference between the Christians and the nonchristians. Sometimes we forget that we are going to have to stand before him in judgement. You say, "But I am not perfect and the things I do are not as bad as the things some people do. It's not like I am a serial killer or something."  But has our faith EVER been about works? The Bible says we are saved by grace. However once you become a Christian, you are not "done," you are just beginning. People act like, "Whew! Glad I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. Now I don't have to worry about burning in hell. Hallelujah! Then ythey turn on the car radio, roll down the windows and start bopping and rapping along with Jay-Z's satanic song, "Lucifer," that literally says, Murder, murder, Jesus...666," when it is played backwards (DJ Danger Mouse remix.)  See below:

Yes I know... most Christians don't know this. There are many things that go on behind closed doors that we don't know about. What we should know is that these are the last days and this world has become completely saturated with evil. So it is quite easy to look around and find a sinner or a backslidden Christian to compare ourselves to, as we attempt to justify our actions. But deep down in your heart; do you believe that on judgement day, when we face Jesus Christ, the one that was mocked, tortured and murdered by his own creation, will compare us to
Mr. Jones down the street or the instructions he left in his Holy Word?  Think carefully before you answer.  Remember that he said he came not to bring peace but a sword.

As members of the body of Christ (as we are called in the Bible) we are looked upon as an example to the rest of the world. We are the representatives of Him.  I heard Pastor Joe Shimmel of Blessed Chapel, Simi Valley CA, give a beautiful analogy of what we are on this earth.  He compared Jesus to the Sun, who's light is so bright we cannot stand to even look at it.  He then compared Christians to the moon that shines at night.  Note that the moon does not give off light on it's on.  But it is the REFLECTED light of the sun, just as we Christians are the REFLECTED light of the Son.  If the sun did not shine on the moon, it would be in total darkness.  Similarly, if we did not reflect the light of Christ, the world would be in darkness.  We have a grave responsibility, to be the light for them that are in darkness.  Without us they cannot find their way.  You see, we have a lot more to do than just get ourselves saved and go on about our business.
"And art confident that thou thyself are a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness.  An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of  knowledge and of the truth in the law." (Romans 2:19-20)
If you really believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that hell is a real place, how can you be content and perfectly comfortable with the fact that the people close to you, your very loved ones, may be on their way to the lake of eternal fire? Maybe you feel inadequate in your knowledge of the Bible.  Maybe you are intimidated by atheists and cults... those that might attack what you have to say about the Gospel.  But could you possibly leave a tract somewhere, like the one shown below?

Beleive it or not, these Chick tracts are very effective.  Tons of years ago I used to care two or three around in my backpack in high school.  I am happy to say that they unfailingly caught the eye of some nearby kid and inevitably started a dialogue.  A few teens even got saved that had never heard the gospel of Christ.  Visit the website www.chick.com for more information about all kinds of tools they have available to help soul winners who are not necessarily the "preaching" type.  We have got to get the Lord's message out.  Time is short.

From where I stand, it seems to be a bit of "all of the above." We were warned. For years, we have clearly been warned.

REVELATIONS 3:3
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Not that I don't understand... I was asleep as well. I was lulled gently to sleep by the distracting "comforts" of our everyday lives such as, "who's going to win American Idol, who's getting divorced already, and did he really get picked up for drunk driving again??" Then there are our families, relationships, and jobs to be concerned with. It's almost unreasonable to expect us to have time to fit anything else into our busy schedules... Or is it? Actually it has been with growing horror that I have come to a realization this past year: we truly have NO CLUE how good we have it at this moment in time. The sadder part is - we should be well aware of that fact.

MARK 13:33-37
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Watch ye therefore for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

It makes me think of the scene in the Bible when Jesus to Gethsemane to pray shortly before he was to be betrayed & crucified. He told his disciples three times to wait for him, and all three times he returned to find them sleeping. I can only imagine how they must have felt... especially having the Lord standing there looking them in the eye. We fool ourselves into believing that if something REALLY OBVIOUS happened to indicate to us that "this is it" really and truly the last days, we'd hop to attention immediately and be READY to meet the Lord. Will we? Or will we be too preoccupied with our own lives to even recognize him for who he is? Worse yet, will he find us led astray off into some fad, or false gospel, (gnosticism, luciferianism, humanism, the new earth movement etc.,) following what some man (or woman) said, who doesn't know any more than we do. The fact is, as soon as we put our Bibles down, as soon as we stop praying and fortifying ourselves with our connection to the Lord, the enemy begins attacking us with some form of deception. Since the creation of mankind, our own arrogance has been secret weapon no. 1, used artfully, continuously and successfully by satan.
COLOSSIANS 2:6-8

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him, rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

ISAIAH 13:11

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Arrogance will be the ultimate downfall of man.
